My husband and I rescued a pit bull mix in 2012 named Starfish. He forever changed our lives. When he passed away in 2023, we were devastated.
We rescued Vi in 2024 who had been the Henry County Humane Society in Geneseo for 525 days. She looks just like Starfish. She was waiting for us, and we were waiting for her. Owning a rescue dog has changed our lives once again. I cannot recommend it enough.
Vi helped me to bring both of my talents together of writing and photography, to help pit bulls in the Quad Cities who need awareness, advocacy, and…good vibes. Good Vibes Rescue is not a nonprofit (not yet anyway).
