NEW HEADSHOTS. WHO DIS? I’m VERY thankful to @pa NEW HEADSHOTS. WHO DIS? I’m VERY thankful to @paigepeterson_an and @tannerreed_007 for capturing me in my element at @evesgardenandgreenhouse.

LOVING my new headshots in summer vibrant colors that make me POP!

*Edits are mine.
Turning chaos into keepsakes is my specialty. You’d never know that one of these little ladies was crying on her way to the photoshoot! By the end of the photoshoot, I’m happy to say it was all smiles and not a single meltdown—definitely a win in my book!

I’m incredibly honored as a photographer to work I’m incredibly honored as a photographer to work with repeat clients—it’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Seeing how much their kids have grown since last summer truly melts my heart and reminds me how quickly time flies. Capturing these moments year after year is a true gift, and I’m grateful to be part of the Timion family’s journey.

I photographed this little cutie when she was a ne I photographed this little cutie when she was a newborn. It was fun to see how much she’s grown for her one-year-old birthday cake smash session. @linenandlightqc was the perfect studio to host this birthday girl in the prettiest, frilliest dress. Those blue eyes, though. Please scroll to the last photo to see what happens when your session is so good it gets on the rotating banner of my website!

“O Lord, by these things men live, and in all t “O Lord, by these things men live,
and in all these is the life of my spirit.
Oh restore me to health and make me live!” Isaiah 38:16 ESV

Today’s Scripture Garden 🪴 post is one of my favorites. I planted it in my Cultivating Dreams & Seasons garden bed. When I looked up the Hebrew word for “restore” or “recover” in the KJV, I saw in the Interlinear Bible that it means:

1. To dream
2. To be healthy/to restore to health.

“To dream is to live.” That verse became my mantra.

YEARS before I read that verse in 2017, God gave me dreams of health, a husband, and a future family that brought me back to life after each difficult season.

BECAUSE I have seen God restore me to health, I love spurring others forward to love and good deeds using my creative gifts and talents.

For the moment all discipline seems painful rather For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. Hebrews 12:11-13 ESV

Today’s Scripture Garden post is the first listed in my Garden Bed entitled “God’s Discipline.” In 2019, God warned me that I was about to experience a season of His discipline.
It all started with a tooth.

When my root canal failed, I had to have a molar pulled. What started as the worst pain ever took multiple years, two states, and one dental implant that finally resulted in a new tooth (after I found out I was pregnant with Mia).

God helped me finally deal with my unhealthy habits of emotional eating. I HAD TO THINK of EVERYTHING that went in my mouth.

My weight was a burden (and shame) I carried was a result of many years of health problems.
I NEVER thought I’d be able to drop below 200 pounds.

Regardless of what I think, God did it! Not me. He gets the praise. It’s amazing how the discipline I had to have with my missing tooth helped me get through gestational diabetes and then breastfeeding a baby with food allergies.

Today, as I pondered which verse to share from my Scripture Garden it hit me. Now is later. I am yielding “the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”

Four years later, I’m STILL healthy.
Every time I’ve tried to take the credit, I have been humbled to see just how God carried me. He disciplined me because He loved me. He helped me enter into the next phase of my life, motherhood, by giving me a heads-up that things needed to change.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always viewed my health issues as a tool to grow closer to God.

What verse(s) draw you closer to God in your pain?

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1 NLT

Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; t Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double. Zechariah 9:12

I planted this verse is in my Scripture Garden under the garden bed of God of Refuge. We were living in Houston at the time. We were on the struggle buses of work and miscarriage. Even our apartment was infested with cockroaches and rats. It was the WORST year of our marriage. I clung to this verse while hiding in God My Refuge. Are you in a winter season? Do you need hope? Are you in a prison of your own making or someone else’s? This verse saved my life, and I believe it can save yours too! #scripturegarden
🎉 REMIND YOUR SOUL TO CELEBRATE! 🎉 One of t 🎉 REMIND YOUR SOUL TO CELEBRATE! 🎉

One of the ways to practice the spiritual discipline of CELEBRATION is to write a song of celebration like Moses did in Deuteronomy 32.

I’m sure I could do so much better because it is staggering to try and remember all the things God has brought me through, but this is my first feeble attempt at praising God for all He has done in my life. I’d love to read your song of celebration!

RENEE’S SONG OF CELEBRATION

My God of Refuge
My Healer
He has healed me and kept me safe

Over and over He has quieted me
with His love

In His love I have overcome
overcome because of His great love
In His love I have joy

I am alive in Christ
in You do I live and find my
Rest

In You my heart has found its home
In You is fulness of joy and
Peace. My Cornerstone.

If I were to count Your
faithfulness to me in
hours, minutes, or days I
would be richIn heaven I have a
conservatory named after
the prayers I prayed and
You answered

In Heaven is my Scripture Garden
full of brimming beds
too numerous to count
because I counted on
You

Time and time again
my days were appointed
to bear fruit
fruit that will last

When they lay me to rest
I want the world to
know that I loved others
well—
that I encouraged others
to love in a divided world

because God is love

You are Love
You are Light
You are My Love and
My Light
My Salvation

I will not fear
with You by my side

Be close to me
Be close to me
Spirit come close
and speak Your
Words of life
the rest of my days

Help me never to become
satisfied
with yesterday’s manna

You are always working on my behalf
providing for me, for us
In You are no gaps.

Yes, I do believe
You provided for me in the
past and I believe You’ll

do it again

Thank you, Jesus!
I love you.
Thank You for everything
