I started a new series entitled Scripture Garden c I started a new series entitled Scripture Garden combining both written and visual prompts to help you create your own based on the idea from my book, Soul Gardening. I hope you’re encouraged to dream in a garden, discover your spiritual season, and find peace for your soul. WRITTEN “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 ESV VISUAL Words of John 1:1 over a picture of an iced tree taken in Davenport in 2021. DEVOTIONAL I just love how John 1 is packed full of meaning. John is writing to tell others the Good News. Jesus is the Word, the Life, the Light, and filled with grace and truth (see John 1:1, 4, 14). I would not be alive if not for the Word! When the Word speaks, life happens. Promises in the Word are life. This is one of the many reasons I keep my own scripture garden to remind me to look to Him. He is my Life, my Light, and the Word keeps His promises to me. DEVOTIONAL One of the ways to grow your soul garden is by starting a scripture garden. I got this idea from the Denver Botanical Garden. They had a sign that said Scripture Garden, and in this little garden they had all these religious symbols and plants that represented soul growth. I took a picture and knew I’d use this term to encourage others, including myself, by planting my own Scripture Garden.
